The discrimination in Romeo and Juliet is where Romeo is forbidden to marry Juliet or the Montagues (Romeo) to have anything to do with the Capulets (Juliet) because the Montagues do not have as much money as Juliets family and have a lower social standard.

There is discrimination in Romeo and Juliet,There is Family Discrimination, Juliet and Romeo's family simply hate each other simply because of there last name. There is Class Discrimination, The Apotacray who sells Romeo the poision is a victum of class discrimination. He is at the very bottom of the hieracy and will be killed if people find out he is selling poitions. The Apothecary almost doesnt sell Romeo potion in fear the news will get out, but Romeo gives him alot of money which he despratley needs! There is Gender Discrimination, There is the expectation that Juliet should get married, because she is a girl. Woman are seen more as objects than people. Juliets father feels that Juliet has no power as she is a girl, he doesnt give her a choice in marriage. He trys to sell her off to Paris, he cares less about her feelings and more about money and alliances. Woman are seen as inferior to men. Then there is also Econmoic Situtation, Both the Capulets and Montagues are seen in there community as equal in status and money. Therefore they are in a bit of competition with each other. There economic status causes alot of issues such as cokpetitiveness which leads to discrimination.
