A story called Pandosto by Robert Greene.
He translated it from an Italian version of the story.
The author's style and the purpose behind that choice of style are both affected by the story. So basically, if the writer chose a simple and straight-forward topic then the style must be simple as well, since it's purpose is to address the readers and provide a certain message. However, if the story is descriptive or opinionated and such, then it is often sophisticated and complex. So anyway, the story is not affected by the author's style, a story is the same story no matter what language or diction the author uses, but whether it could be addressed to many levels( kids to adults) and the capability of understanding the purpose or the underlying message or the central idea differs.
plot
theme
A topic is what the story is about. For example, the topic is on animal life The main idea is one sentence in the story telling what the story is about. For example, the topic is the movie 'Atonement'.The main idea of 'Atonement', for example, could be 'the need to make up for your wrongs' .
The Topic is the subject the author is talking about and the Main Idea is what the author wants to say about the subject.
Topic sentence
The topic sentence are the main idea tells us about the story.
The topic of a story is the subject or theme that the story explores. It is the central idea or message that the author is trying to convey to the reader. It provides a focus for the narrative and helps to shape the overall meaning of the story.
The theme of a story is the moral, or what the author wants the reader to take from the story, i.e. 'be careful what you wish for,' 'don't count your chickens before they're hatched,' 'don't judge a book by it's cover'. The theme is usually less obvious than the topic. The topic or main idea is what the story is about literally; i.e. the Holocaust, a wizarding world in which 3 main characters have adventures, a boy seeking out his future, talking bats, etc.
i have no idea but it's a conference or meeting together to discuss a topic
The main idea is what the story is mainly about... The main idea is the point of the paragraph. It is the most important thought about the topic. To figure out the main idea, ask yourself this question: What is being said about the person, thing, or idea (the topic)? The author can locate the main idea in different places within a paragraph.
Prompts are when you write from a topic someone else has given you. You have to think of what the topic says and use your imagination. Sometimes a prompt will be a sentence that you have to use in the story -- then you have to think of how that sentence can be made into a story. Sometimes it is just an idea or topic and you have to just start imagining!
In literature, a theme is the main topic or idea in a story. It can be a point an author is trying to communicate that may be stated directly or indirectly in the story.
