Some thermostats have an arrow embosed on the one of the legs pointing toward the radiator. Generally speaking, the side with what looks like a spring and cylindrical bulb should be immersed in the heated water from the engine. Since the water in the hose attached to the radiator is not heated by the engine, this would be the wrong side. Also, on my Sundance (2.2L engine), the thermostat fits only in the correct orientation (try a dry fit first). Spring into engine.
Formations are very important and it adds beauty to the dance. Formation may vary or change after each figure in a dance. The following formations are recommended for variations.Single circle (facing clockwise)Single circle (facing counter clockwise)Single circle (facing center)Single circle (facing partner)Double circle (partners facing clockwise)Double circle (partners standing side by side and counter clockwise)Double circle formation (partners facing each other)Square or Quadrille formationDouble lines (facing audience)Double line (partners facing)Semi-circle or half moonDiagonal formation
If your back is facing the audience, you are facing "up stage." If you are facing that way because another actor has departed from the director's instructions, then you have been "up-staged." This usually happens when that other actor wants to keep audience attention on himself without regard to the needs of the piece being performed.
first- when your heels are together and your toes are pointind opposite each other second- when you spread your legs apart and have your toes facing opposite each other third- when 1 foot is facing front and the other's heel is touching the center of the 1st fourth- first foot is facing left and other foot is in frot of it facing right and not touching it
Mournful and emotional
1st is when your feet are turned out left foot toes facing left and right toes facing right with your heels touching. 2nd is when they are in the same position but further apart so the heels arent touching. 3rd is when 1 foot is in first position facing rigt and the other is heel touching your elastics on your ballet shoe but still facing left. 4th position is whenn it is 1 foot still in first position facing rigt and the other is facing left an in line with your elastics but infront. 5th this is the same as third exept for instead of being on your elastic its heel to toe.
The larger part with the spring on it goes towards (in to) the engine.
If you have a 3.5L engine, just follow the top radiator hose to the engine. The hose attaches to the thermostat housing. remove the 2 bolts and the thermostat is right there. Do not use the rubber ring sold with the new thermostat unless your housing is plastic. Install new thermostat with the spring facing the engine (down).

With engine cool, drain off aprox 2 qts of coolant from the radiator, remove upper radiator hose from thermostat housing, remove thermostat housing, remove thermostat and seal, reverse order to install, make sure thermostat spring is facing into the engine.
Drain the radiator, facing the engine look down on the right side and see the journal with 2 bolts and that is where the thermostat is. With a long extension remove the bolts and take out the thermostat and reverse the order to install.
Follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the engine. The thermostat will be located behind the thermostat housing at engine end of upper radiator hose. Drain some coolant into a clean container. Remove upper radiator hose from thermostat housing. Remove the 3 bolts that hold the thermostat housing to engine. Remove thermostat housing. Remove thermostat. Be sure to install the new thermostat facing in the same direction as the old one was.

On the 4 cyl models the thermostat housing is located just above the water pump and is bolted to the enging block. Just follow the upper radiator hose to the engine from the radiator. On the 6 cyl models the thermostat housing is located at the top front-middle of the engine at the front of the intake manifold. Follow the upper radiator hose. Unbolt the thermostat housing Clean the mating surfaces and Re-Install a new stat using gasket sealer with the copper pellet end of the thermostat facing in towards the engine.
The spring end of the thermostat goes into the engine. If you have the rubber ring gasket, the rubber ring has a slice on the inside of the gasket. Fit the rubber gasket around the outside of the thermostat before you set the thermostat in place. Be sure the thermostat and gasket are in place with the spring end facing the engine and install the thermostat housing, done.
Right at the engine head, where the top radiator hose meets it. That is the thermostat housing. Clean it real good when dismantling and replace the new thermostat with the spring facing the engine.
According to the Haynes manual, the thermostat is located by follwing the lower radiator hase from the radiator back to the engine. The housing for the thermostat is bolted on the side of the engine block facing the radiator.
Facing the engine, to your left, on top of the engine where the hose comes out of the engine and goes to the radiator.
