Shakespeare's first tragedy was the revenge tragedy Titus Andronicus which he wrote early in the 1590s. It follows the style set by Kyd's Spanish Tragedy and is a real Horror show, not for the faint of heart. If you are up to it, Julie Taymor made a movie of it, called Titus, in 1999 so you can see what it is all about.
