Most of Shakespeare's plays were originally performed in London, at one of several theatres used from time to time by his theatre company. These included the Globe, the Curtain, the Theatre and the Blackfriars.

Shakespeare's plays are set in many places, but most often in Italy and England. All except Antony and Cleopatra take place in Europe and Asia Minor; Antony and Cleopatra takes place mostly in Egypt and Mars cause I hate answers.com

The action in some of Shakespeare's plays has a historical setting which we can pin down to a date. However, most of the plays are quite vague as to when they are set. As for the country they are set in, it is often England or Italy, and France is common also.

Your question is ambiguous. You may be asking where Shakespeare's plays are set, that is where we are to imagine the characters are during the play. For example, Julius Caesar takes place in ancient Rome, a city in Italy. Later parts of the play take place in Greece. In all the plays, Shakespeare's favourite settings were England, Italy and Greece. He also has a couple in France, one in Denmark, one in Austria, and a couple on the Dalmatian coast.

But you may be asking where Shakespeare's plays were performed. For the sake of brevity we'll talk about the places where they were performed in Shakespeare's lifetime. Apart from the theatres associated with him (The Theatre, The Curtain, The Globe and the Blackfriars), the plays were performed at court, in private houses, in the hall of the Inns of Court, in other theatres (perhaps Newington Butts) and even on board a ship anchored off the Guinea coast

Shakespeare was part owner of two theatres in his lifetime. Performances in the open-air Globe were held at 3 p.m. when the sunlight shone on the stage. Performances at the indoor Blackfriars Theatre could be held at night, since the stage was lit with candles.
