What is a sign that Shakespeare's marriage was not happy?

William and Anne Shakespeare were married from 1582 to 1616, when William died. During the whole of this time Anne lived in Stratford, keeping the house and looking after the kids. However at least from 1590 to 1613, a period of 23 years, William lived in rented accomodations in London. In other words, they maintained two households for at least two-thirds of their married life. Some people take that as a sign that their marriage was unhappy. But not necessarily. William's job meant he had to live in London, but he could not afford the kind of house in the city that he could in the town. It was impractical to move Anne to London. So, one presumes that they visited when they could. It is certainly true that the moment William stopped working as an actor and a playwright, he moved right back in with Anne. Had they been on bad terms he could easily have continued to live in rented rooms in London. But he didn't.
