Friar Laurence suggested that the Capulets played a role in Juliet's death by creating an environment of family conflict and pressure that contributed to her desperate actions. Their insistence on Juliet marrying Paris, despite her love for Romeo, led her to seek drastic measures to escape her predicament. The feud between the Montagues and Capulets exacerbated the situation, ultimately culminating in a tragic series of misunderstandings and miscommunications that resulted in the deaths of both Romeo and Juliet. Thus, the friar held the families accountable for fostering the conditions that led to the tragedy.
The play begins two weeks and some days before Juliet's 14th birthday, which fell on Lammas Eve, the day before Lammas, which was August 1 (Act 1 Scene 3). Therefore the play begins some 16 or 17 days before Juliet's birthday July 31. Let's say the play begins July 14. In that case they were married on the 15th, give or take a day. We know from Act 3 Scene 4 that they were married on a Monday. Mercutio and Tybalt died that same day. There are no clues as to the year.
Juliet's mother says, "early next Thursday morn . . . the County Paris, at Saint Peter's church shall happily make thee there a joyful bride." The wedding is to take place at St. Peter's church, apparently. The reception and wedding feast, on the other hand, are to take place at the bride's father's house, which is why they stay up all night madly cooking.
