Iago and Emilia are on the same boat as Desdemona.
Iago
Iago and Emilia.
To Iago. Iago does manage to get Desdemona safely to Cyprus. He doesn't do much about getting her back.
While Othello is away, Desdemona will stay in Cyprus. She has accompanied Othello there after their marriage, and he has arranged for her to reside in the military quarters. Desdemona is left in the care of others while Othello focuses on his duties as a general.
In Shakespeare's play "Othello," Desdemona is escorted to Cyprus by Iago and Othello. Iago, acting as Othello's ensign, plays a significant role in guiding them as they arrive on the island. Othello, as the general, is also responsible for her safety and well-being during their journey.

Othello, a Moorish captain in the service of Venice Iago, his ensign Desdemona, his wife Cassio, his lieutenant Brabantio, father of Desdemona Emilia, wife of Iago The Duke (Doge) of Venice Bianca, a woman of Cyprus beloved of Cassio Ludovico, a Venetian nobleman Roderigo, a young Venetian in love with Desdemona, and the dupe of Iago
Brabantio is a Venetian senator who is Desdemona's father. He becomes Othello's father-in-law when Desdemona elopes with Othello in the beginning of the play. Brabantio is very unhappy with their sudden marriage. He accuses Othello of performing witchcraft on his daughter to make her fall in love with her. Othello denies this. Brabantio warns Othello that if his daughter deceived him, she can deceive Othello as well. In Act V, it is discovered that Brabantio died broken-hearted as a result of Desdemona's marriage to Othello.
So he can keep on cheating him out of his money. As long as Roderigo is prepared to pay Iago to pay court to Desdemona, Iago will keep on pocketing the money and persuading him to pay more. It is only when Roderigo says he will go to Desdemona and demand his cash back that Iago takes action.
Desdemona was created in 1603.
Desdemona was murdered by Othello
Iago's master plot to annoy Othello and Desdemona, is to tell Desdemona's father that Desdemona has married the Moor (Othello). And also to convince Othello that Desdemona is involved in an affair with Michael Cassio.
Brabantio is Desdemona's father.
Othello strangles Desdemona and then Emilia comes in and Iago kills her and then Othello realizes that Desdemona was innocent so in the end he kills himself. Not a happily ever after ending, eh?
Desdemona's handkerchief, given to her as a wedding present from Othello, is a symbol of something precious between Desdemona and Othello.
