The Pink House, also known as Casa Rosada, is the presidential palace in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was originally constructed in the late 19th century, with its foundation laid in 1580. The building as it stands today was completed in the 19th century under the direction of architect Francisco Tamburini and later modified by his successor, Claudio F. B. L. G. de Gutiérrez. Its distinctive pink color is said to symbolize the reconciliation between the two political factions of Argentina in the 19th century.
