No-one burnt the Globe Theatre down, sparks (from a cannon used in a performance of King Henry VIII) collided with the thatched roof of the Globe. The result was the Globe burning down in under 2 hours. No-one died and there were no major injuries. The Globe theatre was rebuilt in less than a year.
