He subsequently married Thetis the sea-nymph. Their child was Achilles, who became the greatest Greek fighter in the war against Troy. Achilles also was an acquaintance of Odysseus, who was the main character of 'The Adventures of Ulysses', which was an Italian film version of 'The Odyssey'.
