Alfred Lord Tennyson, the author of In Memoriam is considered one of the most famous and greatest authors of the period during which Queen Victoria ruled England. He was a true Victorian and an admirer of Victoria too. It may also be noted here that Thomas Hardy had condemned titles such as The Victorians, as they were a disparagement to those brilliant poets.
