The Haunting in Connecticut is based on a true story of a normal family that is taken over by an evil presence haunting there home that the family just bought. An evil demon has gotten inside a teenage boy that must do what the demon says to survive. Based on the worst haunting in America, it also appeared on the hit discovery channel show "A Haunting". Between the things we see and the things we fear, there are doors and when they are opened, nightmares become a deadly reality.
xomazy1212: The Haunting in Connecticut is about a family who has a teenage son, Matt, that is dying of terminal cancer. The family moves closer to the doctor by moving to Connecticut. The house they buy was formally owned by Jonah Aickman and his father in the late 1800s as a place to speak to the dead. They would have some of the smartest people in the world come and view Jonah's power. Pretty much, Jonah's father made money off of Jonah's gift to speak to the dead. Unfortunately, Jonah's gift back fired and a few of the spirits that Jonah released came after him and his father. Jonah tried to runaway but fell into a crate that carried him to the furnace where he burned to death. When Matt and his family move into the house, they go through a living hell. They are being haunted by Jonah and the some other souls of the people that Jonah released. Only Matt and Reverend Popescu can see the souls and the people haunting them because they are the closest to dying. In the end of the movie when Matt (who is being possessed by Jonah) knocks down the walls with an ax and dead bodies of the people Jonah's father killed were inside, he burns them and Matt's mother, Sara, comes in to save him. Jonah sees the pain he inflicted on this family and to apologize for all the harm he's caused, he cures Matt's cancer.
The poem is called 'One fine day'. There's like a hundred versions of it. But here's one of them: One fine day in the middle of the night Two dead boys got up to fight Back to back they faced each other Drew their swords and shot each other The deaf policeman heard the noise And came to arrest those two dead boys If you don't believe this story is true Ask the blind man he saw it too.
One bright day, in the middle of the night.
Two dead boys got up to fight.
Back to Back they face each other.
Drew their swords and shot each other.
A deaf police man heard the noise.
And came and shot those two dead boys.
If you don't believe my lie is true.
Ask the blind man.
He saw it to.
The first one is best referenced on this website: http://www.folklore.bc.ca/Onefineday.htm
There are several versions of the "One Fine Day" Poem, and this site offers a study of most.
The "little man who wasn't their poem" is properly titled Antigonish. And can be found on Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antigonish_(poem)

One fine day in the middle of the night,
Two dead boys got up to fight.
Back-to-back they faced one another,
Drew their swords and shot each other.
One was blind and the other couldn't see,
So they chose a dummy for a referee.
A blind man went to see fair play,
A dumb man went to shout "hooray!"
A deaf policeman heard the noise,
And came and shot the two dead boys.
A paralysed donkey walking by,
Kicked the copper in the eye,
Sent him through a rubber wall,
Into a dry ditch and drowned them all.
(If you don't believe this lie is true,
Ask the blind man -- he saw it too!)

The Haunting in Connecticut is (loosely) based on the purportedly true story of a family whose eldest son fell ill with cancer, causing them to move to a house in Connecticut that had at one point been a mortuary. There is a documentary by Discovery Channel called A Haunting in Connecticut that chronicles the story from the actual family's perspective.
