Juliet consults with the Friar Laurence, many times during the play. One of the things that the Friar helps her with, is planning the secret marriage between Romeo and Juliet. The weddings was extremely tiny, and only four people knew about Romeo and Juliet being married!
When Romeo and Juliet got married, no preparation was needed. They just went ahead. For Juliet's wedding to Paris, a little more preparation was taken (but not much). The nurse gets on Lord Capulet's case for trying to supervise.
Two weddings are arranged, both on less than twelve hours notice. The wedding between Romeo and Juliet is a very quiet affair consisting of the bride, the groom and the priest. There is no lunch and there are no guests. The second wedding is that of Juliet and Paris. Here there was a hastily prepared meal, but nobody actually sent invitations to any guests, so the intention must have been for the wedding party to eat it. In any event it all falls apart when it appears that the bride has died during the night.
