I think Horatio is the pretty much the only character not to betray Hamlet. He is extremely loyal, and even wants to die when Hamlet does, but Hamlet tells him not to. Instead Hamlet tells him to "report me and my cause aright / To the unsatisfied".
There have been literally hundreds of films of Hamlet, starting with Sarah Bernhardt in 1900 in a short silent film depicting Hamlet's duel with Laertes. The Danish actress Asta Nielsen starred in a film of Hamlet in 1921. Johnston Forbes-Robertson (one of the best stage Hamlets) was filmed in 1913. Laurence Olivier (1948), Maurice Evans (1953), Paul Scofield (1956), John Neville (1959), Maximillian Schell (1960), Christopher Plummer, Innocenti Smokunatovsky and Richard Burton (all in 1964), Nicol Williamson (1969), Ian McKellen and Richard Chamberlain (both in 1970), Derek Jacobi (1980), Kevin Kline (1990), Mel Gibson (1991), Kenneth Branagh (1996), Ethan Hawke (2000), Adrian Lester (2002), William Houston (2003), and David Tennant (2009) are only a small sample of well-known actors in well-known films of the play.

Hamlet's last words are "The rest is silence." He has just charged his friend Horatio to "tell my story". It certainly does make a difference who tells the story, since the prejudices and assumptions of the teller are so deeply ingrained that we do not think of questioning them. For example, we often see Claudius portrayed as a lecher and a drunk. Why? Because we listen to Hamlet's opinion of Claudius--because we are getting his version of his story.
