Well, the Philippines never placed in the semi-finals for 10 consecutive years (2000-2009). So, in 2010, they didn't win the crown because it may be a "surprise" for the country. Instead, the Philippines place 4th runner-up. But that was a good start, because for the next 3 years, they placed in the Top 5 (2011 3rd Runner-Up, 2012 1st Runner-Up, and 2013 3rd Runner-Up). We just hope that in Miss Universe 2014 that the Philippines would continue its winning streak, or maybe take home the crown! I guess if Philippines would win this 2014, it is worth the wait because the last time the country won was in 1973, 41 years ago.
