Jane Wyman was converted to Catholicism about 1954, at some time during her life time she felt the call from God and after discerning she entered into the third Order of Secular Dominicans. That means she is part of that Order and lived by their rule and charisim. She was very muct a religous living mongst the secular world praying and loving. She was buried in the Dominican Habit because she was one of them. The tier goes like this; friars, nuns, and seculars. They all belong to that order and live by that order's founding rules. In essence Jane lived her life as a daughter of the Church and in service to God. She may have requested to be dressed in the Dominican's habit as her final wishes.
