It was because the people of Africa were strong and beautiful. The traders saw them and thought they would be better slaves and easy labor to get. Some also believed that they were giving the black slaves a better life in a colonized world and giving them religion and a chance and "life". It is also said that some of the slave owners quoted, "Once a black man, always a black man. You can never lose a black slave."
Slavery is inherently unethical as it involves the coercion and exploitation of individuals for labor against their will. It is a violation of fundamental human rights and dignity. Any perceived benefits from slavery are overshadowed by the harm and suffering it inflicts on those who are enslaved.
White people believed slavery was good for various reasons, including economic gain, social status, and cultural beliefs about race superiority. The institution of slavery provided free labor for agriculture and industry, enabling economic success for slave owners. Additionally, prevalent racist ideologies at the time justified the subjugation of Black people as a means to maintain power and control.
James Henry Hammond, a staunch advocate for slavery, would likely argue that slavery should not end as he believed in the economic and social benefits of the institution. He may have contended that slavery was a cornerstone of society and essential for maintaining order and prosperity in the South. Hammond often defended slavery as a positive good that benefited both enslaved people and slaveowners.
The good points on slavery were It shows you how they were treated. Shows you the story. That now we have learnt how to respect diffrent coloured peole. And that they are respected the same as us.
One argument used to justify slavery was the belief in white superiority and the idea that people of African descent were inherently inferior and needed to be controlled by white people for their own good. This was often used to rationalize the exploitation and dehumanization of enslaved individuals.
Uncle Tom's Cabin is about anti-slavery.
Slavery ruins many people's lives.
1200 or higher. It really depends on what you define as 'good.' Personally, I would think anything under 1800 isn't that great. Of course, a 2400 is perfect (on the newer version; on older tests, 1600 is perfect), and a 3-digit score is definitely not good. Harvard's average SAT score is 2225, as is MIT's. But I know several people who got 1700's or 1800's on their SATs in 7th grade, so it's all based on what you think is good.
they were good
bad all people should be treated equal
It's not that great,but it's a 5-level monster(with 1800 atk,1700 def) So it can come quite in handy for lower-leveled monsters.
yes slavery was good for the south
Of course it was bad, white people were rich on the backs of the blacks, black people lost their freedom when sold into slavery
Because slavery isn't a good thing its just so selfish that some people couldn't clean for them selves think about it would you want to be a slave?
To me slavery isn't good at all. But the only "good" that comes in slavery is the owner of the slave. They find it amusing to watch them work so hard and get nothing. And for some reason they didn't find anything wrong with abusing them either. There is no good in slavery. Slavery is wrong and abusive. Haven't you ever heard of Abraham Lincoln?
Lincoln abolished slavery and kept the country together. He also told people that slavery did not fit with the ideas of the Declaration Of Independence.
It was okay they worked it out but it was mostly good.
