Is engineering like physics?

All engineers start by taking physics courses. Physics provides the basics of mechnical, electrical, nuclear, optical, etc. engineering. Physics doesn't suggest to us how these principles can be used in everyday life. Engineering goes further than physics by applying the physics to various objects around us. Engineering is building things.

Why do you learn physics?

to understand the world around you as it is the biulding blocks of everything There is a book which explores this question while teaching all the basics (and a bit more) of physics - may be worth a look - It's called 'Fizz'

Why is physics called a basics science?

Physics is considered a basic science because it forms the foundation for all other natural sciences. It provides fundamental principles and theories that are applied in various branches of science such as chemistry, biology, and earth sciences. Understanding physics helps explain the behavior of matter and energy in the universe.

What classes at Louisiana State University do you need to take to be a mechanical engineer?

You would need the basics, probably including calculus, physics, English and other courses described in the catalogue for that university.

Why physics is called as the basics science?

Because physics is the most fundamental science. Physics is the study of energy and motion. All other sciences would not exist without a form of energy or motion. Chemistry: Chemical energy Biology: has a lot to do with chemicals Astronomy: Stars are fueled by nuclear energy Geology: Rocks are formed by kinetic and thermal energy Et Cetera

Parents can teach their children the basics of astronomy by letting them use a telescope for kids. It will help them understand techniques of observation, astronomy and simple physics.

Why does Physics have to be so hard How can I appproach it differently so that it atleast makes some sense to me?

I find that by starting at the basics of physics and leaving out the formulars i.e How to write the equation to a problem, is the easiest way to learn. If you learn to understand say Newtons three laws of motion, unless you are going to teach it, leave out the fancy writing it is of no use to you. Just concentrate on understanding the basics. I have found that some people who give physics answers write it as a formular which is of no use to the beginner. So again stick with understanding the exlaination and leave the squiggels alone. In all of my answers you will find just the facts and nothing else. Send me an email if you think I may be able to help.
