Yes, if far enough away and with a fallout shelter to protect from the radiation from fallout that might fall distant from the explosion. If closer then a blast shelter with fallout protection would be required. But all these preparations are expensive so they would not be available to everybody, and even if available quite a few people would not have the time to get to the necessary shelters.

What is the circumference of an atomic's bomb explosion?

The circumference of an atomic bomb explosion can vary depending on the size and yield of the bomb. In general, the blast radius of a typical atomic bomb explosion can extend several miles from the epicenter.

What happens when a atomic bomb explodes?

When an atomic bomb explodes it forms a mushroom cloud, the explosion gives off EMP or Electro Magnetic Pulse, the explosion is huge and can destroy so much for miles, and the explosion gives off huge amounts of radiation so if you survive the explosion you can suffer or die from the radiation after the bomb blew up.

How big was the explosion of the atomic bomb?

The explosion of the atomic bomb released an immense amount of energy, equivalent to thousands of tons of TNT. The blast created a fireball that expanded rapidly, reaching temperatures hotter than the sun's surface. The destruction caused by the explosion extended for miles around the epicenter.

Was the atomic bomb the worlds biggest nuclear explosion?

No. Hydrogen Bombs have been detonated that make the atomic bomb look small in comparison. The Atomic Bombs dropped on Japan in WW2 were 25 Kton (equivilent to 25000 tons of dynamite), while H bombs can be as big as several hundred Megaton (million tons of dynamite)

What is used as a trigger in a hydrogen bomb?

A traditional nuclear fission bomb is used as a trigger in a hydrogen bomb. The explosion from the fission bomb generates the high temperatures and pressures needed to initiate the fusion reaction in the hydrogen bomb.
