A balloon
Definitely a dirigible because a hot air balloon cannot be steered because the wind carries it. A dirigible is an air ship and has control systems.
Hot air balloons move forward by changing altitude to catch the wind blowing in different directions at various altitudes. By adjusting their altitude, pilots can steer the balloon towards their desired direction. The movement is controlled by the pilot using burner and venting techniques to navigate and steer the balloon.
If a charged balloon touched a neutral balloon, electrons from the charged balloon would be transferred to the neutral balloon, causing the neutral balloon to become negatively charged. This is due to the principle of electrostatic induction.
A balloon has a certain weight due to the material it's made of. When you blow air into the balloon, the weight of the air inside balances out the weight of the balloon material, making the total weight of the balloon and air the same as the original balloon.
the heat makes the molecules inside the balloon travel faster, pushing outward on the balloon. This, the balloon expands when heated
A dirigible can be steered as it is a powered, steerable airship with engines and controls. A balloon, on the other hand, is unpowered and moves with the wind, making it unable to be steered in a specific direction.

More than likely a Helium filled balloon. A Hydrogen filled balloon is very flammable and might burst into flames similar to the Hindenburg blimp/dirigible. Helium is not flammable.
An airplane? Hot air balloon? Helicopter? Space Shuttle? Dirigible? Blimp? Superman? Magic carpet?

The dirigible crashed due to inclement weather.

The Dirigible Airship - 1908 was released on: USA: 23 November 1908
"For a brief period in history, one of the most luxurious and stately ways of travel, was aboard a dirigible."
Dirigible Days - 2012 was released on: USA: 31 July 2012 (limited)
You must follow the wind, you cannot steer.
