51.8 Litres.
Equivalent to a 37cm sided cube or a sphere with a diameter of 46cm.
The density of gold is 19.3 kg/litre.
At time of writing 1 tonne of gold would be worth $45.38 million USD, €32.87 million EUR or £27.89 million GBP.

As of today, the cost of one ton of gold is approximately $64 million USD. However, please note that gold prices fluctuate daily based on market conditions.
There are 2000 pounds in a ton (US) or 2240 pounds in a ton (UK). It does not matter if it is lead, gold, paper, or feathers - a ton is a ton.
There are 2,000 pounds in one ton.
2,000 pounds is equivalent to one ton.
Gold is one of the more dense metals. It is definitely more dense than sawdust. Without looking up the exact densities, we can still make a comparison.Density = Mass/Volume ---> Volume = Mass/Density.Since we have the same mass of each: Mass = 1 tonne, we have:Volgold = 1/Densitygold, and Voldust = 1/Densitydust. So we want to compare Volgold and Voldust :1/Densitygold 1/Densitydust. We already know that Density of gold is greater, so we have: 1/(big number) 1/(smaller number). So 1/(big number) is less volume. Just pick some numbers to see:1/1000
It depends how big the piece is: a gram, an ounce, a ton...
One ton of any material will equal the same, two thousand pounds. So one ton of gold and one ton of silver would both weigh the exact same, but the volume of each item would differ. Since gold is denser there would be less of it necessary to reach one ton of weight than the silver.
One ton of gold is worth about $28,412,800. Gold is extremely valuable and does not lose its value. The American currency is backed up by gold.
A ton of anything weighs the same as a ton of anything else.
A ton of paper. Any ton is heavier than a pound. One ton is equal to twenty-thosand pounds, whether is paper, or anything else.
As of today, the cost of one ton of gold is approximately $64 million USD. However, please note that gold prices fluctuate daily based on market conditions.
If I had one ton of lead in one block what would its dimensions be? 1 metric ton of lead is 88.18cm3

Gold has a density of approximately 19 times the density of water. A metric ton of water has a volume of 1 cubic meter. If you divide the number of tons by 19, you'll get the volume of the gold, in cubic meters.
well they would both be the same, as both would have the weight of one tone. however the answer that i believe that you want is that you would need a lot more bricks to make one tone than gold as gold is a lot denser.
Today (June 16, 2009) gold is selling at $934.88 (US Dollars) per ounce. At that price: An imperial short ton of ,gold would be worth: $29,916,160 (USD) A metric ton of gold would be worth: $32,976,919 (USD).
