The fuse protects the cable it is feeding therefore in UK upto 10A for 1.0mm cable,
upto 15A for 1.5mm cable and upto 20A for 2.5mm cable. This is for installation type (solid core copper) cable not flex.
In the UK and the rest of the EU (230V) 1 Kw load = 4A so 5A fuse should be OK. 2KW = 8A, 3KW = 12A so use 13A Fuse.
It depends what the fuse is protecting. A fuse is a weak point in an electrical circuit that is designed to melt and disconnect the circuit before it is damaged or becomes dangerous (eg catches fire) Depending what is being protected a fuse could typically be between 1mA (0.001 amps) and several thousand amps. Bigger and smaller exist for special applications.
Fuses are essential for safety. A fuse is a piece of thin wire in a fireproof enclosure, and the fuse is placed in series with an electrical circuit. When a fault occurs in the equipment, excessive current could flow, which causes the fuse wire to melt, cutting off the supply. Without the fuse some other part of the circuit would overheat and perhaps cause a fire. Because the fuse is the weakest link, it protects the rest of the circuit. Fuses have to be chosen for the size of circuit they feed. A standard fuse labelled 13 amps as used in the UK is designed to let 13 amps through, and currents above that value will blow the fuse, although 14-15 amps would probably not do that over a short period. So fuses are very important because they reduce the risk of fire.
When an electrical fuse is overloaded, it converts the electrical energy flowing through it to heat, which melts a strip of wire in the fuse, "blowing" the fuse.
Because it slept with another fuse bulb so the bulbs wife seperates the fuse bulb so thats why it never glows cuz its sad! :c
The fuse wire is rated for a specific amount of amperage. If the amperage exceeds that rating, the fuse wire will quickly melt. The current flow in the circuit is interrupted, thereby protecting the appliance from an overload condition.
The size fuse should be noted on the old fuse.
The Fuse size is listed on the under side of the Fuse Cover.
Depends on the size of the fuse.
The tag on the unit will tell you, minimum fuse size and maximum fuse size. Go wilth one in between.
The listing of fuse size and function is shown on the back size of the fuse box cover itself.
what size fuse is the dome light fuse
What size fuse dose fuel injection on1990 lumina?
It should be stamped on the fuse, but the typical 150cc fuse is a 15amp fuse.
What size is fuse for cigarette lighter on Buick Ladner 2001
The fuse you use is determined by the load on the circuit and the size wiring used in that circuit not the battery voltage.
Should be a 10 amp fuse the red fuse.
Positively not. Never ever use a different size fuse in a circuit. The fuse is there to protect the wiring in the circuit from overheating and catching on fire.
