Well. I'm no physicist. BUT. I think its potential energy, which then changes to gravitational energy.

OR. Its a mango. When it falls. It hits the floor. And smashes. What a waste of a mango.

When hanging on the tree right before it falls it is potential energy then, when it's falling, it changes to kinetic energy after, it changes to both kinetic and potential energy and when it hits the ground, it becomes sound energy
