In Rutherford's model of the atom the electrons had a circular motion around the nucleus. By the laws of physics, if something is going in a circular motion then it must be accelerating and a particle that accelerates is losing energy. This means that the electrons that are revolving around the nucleus would eventually fall into the nucleus. Nucleus would eventually collapse. This does not happen therefore the Rutherford model was put aside.
The gold foil experiment supported the atomic model proposed by Ernest Rutherford, the Rutherford model. This model suggested that atoms have a small, dense nucleus at their center surrounded by a electron cloud. The experiment revealed that most of the atom's mass is concentrated in the nucleus and that the atom is mostly empty space.
Ernest Rutherford is credited with the development of the "Rutherford Model" of the atom, which proposed that the atom consisted of a small, dense nucleus containing positively charged protons orbited by negatively charged electrons. This model was developed in 1911 based on experiments conducted in his laboratory.
The planetary model of the atom was proposed by Ernest Rutherford in 1911. This model suggested that electrons orbit the nucleus in a way that is similar to the planets orbiting the sun.
Ernest Rutherford's 1911 model of the atom failed to explain why electrons, which are negatively charged, do not collapse into the positively charged nucleus due to electrostatic forces. This model was unable to account for the stability of the atom.
The Rutherford model was the model that showed the discovery of a positively charged nucleus. In this model, proposed by Ernest Rutherford in 1911, he suggested that atoms have a dense, positively charged nucleus at the center, with electrons orbiting around it. This model provided evidence for the nuclear nature of the atom.
yes there were problems withn rutherford's model but i dont know the problem
Bohr formulated new explanation and theories to remove Rutherford defect in Rutherford atomic model thats why Bohr atomic model is better than Rutherford atomic model.
Rutherford's theory is known as the Rutherford model or Rutherford atomic model. It describes the structure of an atom as a dense positively charged nucleus surrounded by orbiting electrons.
Ernest Rutherford created the nuclear model of an atom!
The Rutherford model proposed that an atom's positive charge is concentrated in a dense center called the nucleus. This model was based on the famous gold foil experiment conducted by Ernest Rutherford in 1909.

its was Ernest Rutherford who proposed the planetary atomic model
Ernest Rutherford is perhaps best known for his model of the atom. He developed his own model, based upon his research, to replace Thomson's plum-pudding model.
Thompson discovered the electron and proposed his "Plum Pudding" model of the atom, while Rutherford refined it, moving the electrons to shells outside the nucleus. Google "Rutherford Model" and "Plum Pudding Model" for more info
