The sky looks blue because of a phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering, where sunlight is scattered by the gases and particles in the Earth's atmosphere. Blue light has a shorter wavelength and scatters more easily than other colors, making the sky appear blue to our eyes.
The sky appears blue because of a phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering, where sunlight is scattered by the gases and particles in the Earth's atmosphere. To explain this to kids, you can say that when sunlight reaches the Earth, the blue light scatters more than other colors because it travels in shorter, smaller waves. This makes the sky look blue to us.
The ocean makes the sky blue because of a process called Rayleigh scattering. When sunlight hits the Earth's atmosphere, the shorter blue wavelengths are scattered more than the other colors, making the sky appear blue. The ocean reflects this blue light, further enhancing the blue color of the sky.
The sky appears blue because of the way Earth's atmosphere scatters sunlight. Blue light is scattered more than other colors because it travels in shorter, smaller waves. This scattering effect makes the sky look blue to our eyes. If the sky were to appear purple, it would mean that shorter wavelengths of light, like violet, are being scattered more than blue light. However, this is not the case in our atmosphere, so the sky does not appear purple.

The sky appears blue because of a phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering, where particles in the atmosphere scatter sunlight in all directions. Blue light has a shorter wavelength and scatters more easily than other colors, making the sky look blue to our eyes.
On the moon the sky will look blue.
A crystal sky is bright blue. There are no clouds present and it is often very gorgeous to look at. It also makes for the prettiest sunsets.
Sky blue or powder blue.
it makes sea blue, makes sky blue, it is the only color which reflects
its white.. but the sky reflects the ocean wich makes it blue (the sky is blue)
The color sky blue is a lighter shade of blue. The color is called sky blue because it is to resemble to same color as the sky. When the sun is out the sky is a beautiful shade of blue.
the sky is blue because the suns rays are different colors and the majority that get through our atmosphere are blue.
Sky Blue, because Cuddy says it almost makes him look nice.
The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. The the shorter wavelengths (blue) in the white light from Sunlight are absorbed by the gas molecules in the air. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you and you see the blue light from everywhere overhead making the sky look blue. The same principle makes the sea look blue. At sunset the light must travel farther through the atmosphere before it gets to you. More of the blue light is reflected and scattered and the only the longer wavelengths (red) are left in the direct beam that reaches your eyes, making the setting sun red.
Sky, blueberry, blue waffle, blue raspberry, and my desktop on my computer.
pollution and lots of it.
Peter and Anne both like going up to the attic to look at the blue sky
