The most important recommendation for a motion activated light is the power saver battery. Also another recommendation is to place the motion activated light in a dark place.
Light, Earths orbit, flowing river
Some examples of motion are-random motion, periodic motion, rotatory motion, circular motion and osclitory motion
Motors, illumination, anything that turns electric power into something else (like motion, light or heat)
A freely falling body A car moving along a straight road. Light too has rectilinear propagation.
In some circumstances, ultraviolet light may inteact with matter to produce heat, but it does not carry heat. Heat is carried by matter in motion since heat (temperature) is a characteristic of matter.
some motion lights have a setting on the actual light where it will stay on when the light switch is in the on position. There are also some that if you turn the light off and immediately back on, it will stay on (the ones that I have have both of these functions).

If you mean photoreceptors, then they are responsible for detecting light and, therefore, enable us to see. photoreceptors are arranged in certain ways to help us recognize different objects. Some photoreceptors are activated (and thereby sends signals to the brain) when they detect light, while others are activated when they do not detect light. The more light (or darkness) each cell detects, the more active they become.
There are several options available for a nightlight that meets all of the criteria you mentioned. Here are some suggestions: Amazon: You can find a variety of power-outage and motion-sensing nightlights on Amazon. One option is the GE Ultrabrite Motion-Activated LED Night Light, which only turns on in low light conditions when motion is detected, and has a battery backup for power outages. Home Depot: Home Depot also offers a range of power-outage and motion-sensing nightlights. One option is the Mr Beams Motion-Sensing LED Night Light, which is battery-powered and turns on only when motion is detected in low light conditions. Lowes: Lowes also has a selection of power-outage and motion-sensing nightlights. One option is the Utilitech LED Night Light, which has a built-in battery backup and turns on only when motion is detected in low light conditions. Walmart: Walmart carries several power-outage and motion-sensing nightlights as well. One option is the Vont LED Motion Sensor Night Light, which is battery-powered and turns on only when motion is detected in low light conditions. Be sure to read the product descriptions and reviews carefully to ensure that the nightlight you choose meets all of your requirements.

It refers to some sort of motion/light sensor and overrides any preset program to "on"
I installed spiral fluorescent light bulbs and a motion activated light switch for my kitchen light and noticed that it flickered when it was inactivated. From what I understand, the motion switch doesn't stop the current completely; it uses a small amount to run the motion sensor. That small amunt of current will build up in the flourescent bulb and discharge causing it to flicker. Fortunately, the light fixture I had held two bulbs and I simply replaced one of the two spiral fluoresent bulbs with a regular incandescent bulb and the flickering stopped. Based on that,I assume some current is still getting to yourlight bulb which is causing it to flicker.

Some good features to look for in a baby monitor would be compactness, if there is a low battery indicator light, and a sound activated light. Some other things to consider would be band width and multiple receivers.
You need to make sure that your plants get enough light, when growing indoors. You also want to water them regularly and fertilize them every so often.
