Intrinsic diodes are formed by a p-n junction within a single semiconductor material, while extrinsic diodes are formed when impurities are added to a semiconductor material to alter its properties. Intrinsic diodes have natural electrical properties, while extrinsic diodes have controlled electrical properties based on the type and amount of impurities added.
The term Intrinsic denotes a characteristic or property of some thing or action which is essential and specific to that thing or action, and which is wholly independent of any other object, action or consequence. A characteristic which is not essential or inherent is extrinsic.
To improve the conductivity of intrinsic material, one can introduce dopants to create extrinsic semiconductors. This process modifies the material's electrical properties, boosting its conductivity. Additionally, optimizing the crystal structure and purity of the material can enhance its conductivity.
Two sources of motivation can be intrinsic factors, such as personal fulfillment, growth, and achievement, as well as extrinsic factors like rewards, recognition, and incentives. Other sources of motivation can include social approval, competition, and the desire to make a difference.
Though germanium diodes were the first ones fabricated, several factors make silicon the choice vs. germanium diodes. Silicon diodes have a greater ease of processing, lower cost, greater power handling, less leakage and more stable temperature characteristics than germanium diodes. Germanium diodes' lower forward drop (.2V to .3V versus .7V to 1.0V) make them better at small signal detection and rectification.
Lots of things are true about diodes. There are different types of diodes; their general characteristic is that they have two electrodes (electrical contacts). They conduct current in one direction only.
Extrinsic is external; intrinsic is internal.

Extrinsic properties can be affected by the factors while Intrinsic is unaffected by the factors... (I'm unsure)
The difference between intrinsic and extrinsic sugars is that intrinsic sugars are sugars that occur naturally in the cellular structure of food while extrinsic sugars are added or are free in food. Intrinsic sugars are mostly found in fruits and vegetables. Extrinsic sugars are divided into milk sugars or lactose and non milk extrinsic sugars which are added sugar and honey. - Intrinsic motivation is your own personal motivation that comes from inside you. It is self motivation personal gain, satisfaction, or enjoyment. Extrinsic motivation is from external sources, money, coercion, fame, fortune, recognition. - Extrinsic is external; intrinsic is internal Intrinsic is inner or from inside and extrinsic is outer or from outside

Intrinsic materials are found within an area. Extrinsic materials do not exist within, and must be located outside of the area.
The opposite of extrinsic (external, unessential) would be intrinsic (innate, inherent, or essential).
Intrinsic is the term explaining phenomenon due to internal qunatities. Extrinsic is the term explaining the same phenomenon due to foreign materials added ie external materials. In case of pure Si or Ge, intrinsic conductivity becomes possible as temperature increases. As we add trivalent or pentavalent impurities along with Si or Ge, then we get extrinsic conductivity.
