A circuit is any arrangement of objects (circuit elements) in which an electric current flows through a closed loop. The only absolutely essential elements of a circuit are something to make the current go, called a source, and something to carry the current around the circuit, called a conductor (usually, a wire, a metal trace on a circuit board, or some of each.) There are many other kinds of circuit elements that have various properties, and each of these may serve a number of different functions. The most basic of the elements are the resistor, the capacitor, and the inductor. Others include Transformers, transistors (of various types.) diodes, and many more. There properties and functions are so varied as to far exceed what can be written here; indeed, they fill large textbooks. Multiple sources exist on the web with some basic information on these that is beyond the scope of a single answer here. Just Google it, and try Wikipedia.
Batteries function within an electrical circuit by converting chemical energy into electrical energy. When connected to a circuit, the battery's chemical reactions create a flow of electrons, which generates a voltage that powers the circuit.
The negative terminal in an electrical circuit serves as the point where electrons flow out of the circuit, completing the electrical circuit and allowing the flow of electric current.
The positive terminal in an electrical circuit serves as the point where current flows into the circuit from an external power source, providing the energy needed for the circuit to operate.
An electrical path that is not complete is called an open circuit. In an open circuit, there is a break in the path that prevents the flow of electricity, so the circuit is not complete and devices connected to it will not function.
No, electrons continue to move in an incomplete circuit but they will not flow consistently as with a completed circuit. This can lead to a build-up of charge and potential difference in certain parts of the circuit.

An electric circuit is a system of several parts. The circuit cannot function without all of them therefore there is no 'main' part. Essential parts are; power source, conducting material, load.
Slide Switches work on the principle of connecting disconnected parts to each other. The 'switch' connects two parts allowing the current to pass through it.
it's function is to supply energy(electric)
Simple parts of a circuit are switches, light bulb, battery and connecting wires.
the function of a power source in a circuit is that it provides a steady source of static electricity
the function of a power source in a circuit is that it provides a steady source of static electricity
A switch is a make - break device. Its function is a circuit is to make and break the current flow of the circuit that it is in. This action then starts and stops the load that is connected in the circuit.
