There is a spectrum of electromagnetic radiation varying from small wavelengths (high frequency and energy) like gamma rays and x-rays to visible light (in the mid to lower end of the spectrum) to long wavelengths like radio waves etc.

There's only one "type" of electromagnetic radiation. We distinguish different categories by frequency or wavelength. (The wavelength of an EM wave multiplied by the frequency is the speed of light, abbreviated "c".) So "high frequency" means "short wavelength".

Our atmosphere is generally transparent to EM radiation, but there are bands of frequencies that are blocked, for example in the far infrared and far ultraviolet bands. Perhaps the two most useful bands, as far as being transparent, are visible light and VHF radio.

The electromagnetic spectrum represents many types of radiation ranging from 10^3 to 10^20 Hertz. At the lowest wavelengths are radio waves to the highest and lethal gamma rays.

What type of light passes through an object?

this is a really unspecific question, Its like me saying "people are tall?". The answer is not as clear cut as "Yes" or "No", and it all depends on what you mean. Do you mean that light passes through some objects, in which case the answer is yes, visible light will pass through some objects (like a glass) depending on the physical characteristics of the material (mainly transparency and clarity (and yes, these are different qualities)). If you mean will radiation (which, as visible light is a small part of the electromagnetic spectrum, it is technically a type of radiation) pass through all objects, then your answer is yes (mostly). Certain materials will block certain wave lengths of radiation but not others (like lead crystal blocks Nuclear radiation but not visible light radiation). this is, in principle, how UV protected lenses work, they block UV radiation but lets most of the 'light' radiation through, allowing you to see through them. I hope this answers your woefully worded question, and that you can now live in peace, knowing that just because you cant see the night sky, doesn't mean that your DNA isn't being torn apart by high-energy cosmic radiation from the night sky as you sleep, blissfuly unaware.

What is the difference between opacity and isShowing properties of an object in terms of visibility of an object in Alice?

black people and semen

Why can't objects be seen clearly through a translucent object?

Because while the opacity of the object will allow photons through, they do not maintain their original trajectory.

Whats the CSS code for creating a textbox that has a small opacity then when you hover over it its opacity is greater?

The basic code would be to set the opacity low then make use of ':hover', in CSS this is:.trans { opacity: 0.8; }.trans:hover { opacity : 1; }You can use test in your HTML code to test if it works.The following code is designed to work across all browsers:.trans{filter: alpha(opacity=80);-khtml-opacity:0.8;-moz-opacity:0.8;opacity:0.8;}.trans:hover{filter: alpha(opacity=100);-khtml-opacity:1;-moz-opacity:1;opacity:1;}

What does the opicaty option do in Photoshop?

Opacity is the transparency of your layer that is featured. It is useful for safe editing in Photoshop, opacity is used to 'dim down' a certain object and is commonly used in masking to see layers behind the layer that uses opacity. Higher opacity will make the layer more opaque. Lower opacity will make the layer more transparent. Hope this helps :)

If something has 0 percent opacity what does that mean?

It means that it is completely transparent. If it has 100% opacity, nothing shows through it.
