Uranium is (or was) produced in: Kazakhstan, Australia, Canada, United States, Namibia, Gabon, Niger, Malawi, South Africa, Brazil, Argentina, France, Spain, Germany, Romania, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, China, Russia, Iran, Greenland, Algeria, Bulgaria, Hungary etc.
France is the world largest generator of nuclear power by percentage.
After searching for an answer to this question I can only find information on nuclear power generation in power station. I would assume that this complete lack of any information in relation to home nuclear power generation means it will not be a possibility in the near future.
There are currently (year 2013) 31 countries having nuclear power reactors. The rest are not having nuclear power.
As far as I know Australia does not want any nuclear plants
Nuclear fission is used in commercial power generation. We don't use fusion yet in that application because we have not conquered the technological problems in doing so.
The energy sources from highest to lowest percentage are as follows: Coal Nuclear Hydroelectric
France
The nuclear energy is not so developed in the poor countries.
France is the world largest generator of nuclear power by percentage.
Nuclear power represents about 19.4% (in 2006) of the total electricity generation in the United States. There are 31 states that have nuclear power plants, and the states with the highest percentage of nuclear power are Vermont, New Jersey, South Carolina, Illinois, and Connecticut. See the Nuclear Energy Institute website for additional information. http://www.nei.org/resourcesandstats/nuclear_statistics/usnuclearpowerplants/
Both. In 2007, France's power generation was 78% nuclear. At the same time, the US generation was only 19% nuclear. Japan's was 28% nuclear. Brazil's was only 3%. These numbers are from the Int'l Atomic Energy Assoc.
Approx. 30 countries has now nuclear energetic reactors with uranium fuels.
1.petroleum 2.Nuclear Power 3.wind Power
The same reason as the other countries that have nuclear power plans. Firstly to show off power. The other reason : Fear. Not even for energy generation, nuclear capability is justified due to the high risk that nuclear power plants represent.
See www.world-nuclear.org and do your own research
There are two (2) generations in a nuclear family.
The nuclear percentage in France is even higher than I thought, according to the EDF website (see link below). In 2007 it was 87.6 percent nuclear, 8.6 percent hydro, and 3.8 percent fossil fuel. Wind generation is also increasing steadily although still a small percentage. Figures for 2008 given on the nuclear part of the website are slightly different
