A chiller system uses heat to create chilled water by transferring heat from the water to a refrigerant, which then circulates to reject the heat to the outside environment. The chilled water is then used for air conditioning or refrigeration purposes.
water evaporates causing a cooling effect. When the water evaporates it takes heat with it. Think of it as the water leaving and taking the heat with it.. Normal human body temperature is 98.7 (average) Your body works to heat the water in the wet clothes at the same time the outside air or ambient temperature is working to evaporate that water within the clothing. This causes a chilling or cooling effect. This is the same reason you sweat, the evaporation of the sweat acts as a cooling system.
The convective heat transfer coefficient of water is a measure of how easily heat can move through water. A higher convective heat transfer coefficient means heat can transfer more quickly. In a system, a higher convective heat transfer coefficient can increase the rate of heat transfer, making the system more efficient at exchanging heat.
A chimney heat exchanger system efficiently transfers heat from flue gases to water for heating by using metal tubes or coils that run through the chimney. As the hot flue gases pass through the chimney, they heat up the metal tubes, which in turn heat the water circulating through them. This process allows for the transfer of heat from the flue gases to the water, increasing the overall efficiency of the heating system.
d) hot-water heating system In a hot-water heating system, heat from burning fuel warms the water in the boiler. This hot water is then circulated through pipes to radiators or baseboard units in different rooms of the building, providing heat to the space.
microwaves vibrate water molecules in food to create heat
heat pumpEvery system that creates a chilled water, moves heat. An absorption system uses heat energy to remove heat from water and ice cream!.
You are probably referring to Absorption refrigeration. Try Google.
The heat gets removed from the H2O
mortadella is cooked in hot water. Although in Italy, it is usually cooked in an oven with dry heat, then chilled.

A water chiller is a mechanical device that cools water by removing heat from it. In air conditioning systems, water chillers are used to cool the air by circulating chilled water through coils or air handlers to remove heat from the indoor air. This process helps to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature.
A brine solution is silmply water that is combined with diluted salt. It allows the water that is used in chilled water cooling systems to operate a lower tempertures without freezing up. Just like freon (refrigerant) used for residential cooling systems, the chilled water flows through an evaporator coil in which heat is absorbed and to be carried away by the mixture which cools the ambient space. On other applications, an antifreeze, or glycol solution, in the chilled water performs a similar task.

If you have hot water heat or steam heat, it will still work. Gas or electric heat has nothing to do with the water system.
In WW2 the British army in India used a canvas sack to keep water chilled. The principle was that water would slowly leak from the bag and evaporate in the heat, making the water inside cooler than the ambient temperature.
To calculate the heat lost by hot water in a system, you can use the formula Q mcT, where Q is the heat lost, m is the mass of the water, c is the specific heat capacity of water, and T is the change in temperature. This formula helps determine the amount of heat energy transferred from the hot water to the surroundings.
