Low ionising power results from great penetrating power.
Beta radiation consists of fast-moving electrons or positrons, while gamma radiation is high-energy electromagnetic radiation. Beta radiation has a lower penetration power and can be stopped by a thin sheet of metal, while gamma radiation is highly penetrating and requires thicker shielding, such as lead or concrete, to block it.
Alpha particles are composed of two protons and two neutrons and have low penetrating power; beta particles are high-speed electrons or positrons with moderate penetrating power; gamma rays are high-energy electromagnetic radiation with high penetrating power; neutron emission involves the release of neutrons with no charge and high penetrating power. Each type of radiation causes different ionization effects in matter and poses different risks to human health.
The energy transferred by a quantum of electromagnetic radiation is directly proportional to the frequency of the wave. Higher frequency waves (like X-rays and gamma rays) have higher energy quanta and greater penetrating ability compared to lower frequency waves (like radio waves and microwaves) which have lower energy quanta and less penetrating ability.
Cooking on a grill involves all three types of heat transfer: conduction (direct contact between the food and the grill grates, transferring heat), convection (hot air circulating around the food, cooking it), and radiation (infrared heat from the grill's flames or heating element penetrating and cooking the food).
Infrared radiation is of a much lower frequency (and a longer wavelength) than X-rays.
Radio waves, Microwaves, Infrared, Visible Light, Ultraviolet, X-Rays, Gamma Rays etc. are all Electromagnetic radiation, just at different frequencies. In physics, radiation is any process by which energy travels from one body to another. When most people hear radiation they think of ionising radiation, which is a radiation that is strong enough to ionize atoms.X-Rays are both Electromagnetic radiation and ionising radiation, because of the later it is a health hazard.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiography
Radiology is the examination of the inner structure of opaque objects using X-rays or other penetrating radiation. In the radiation branch of medical science, radiology is the use of X-rays or other penetrating radiation for examination and/or treatment of medical conditions. Radiography is photography that uses other kinds of radiation than visible light to produce an image on a radiosensitive surface by radiation.

Gamma rays are electromagnetic radiation and have very high penetration power. Gamma rays are similar to UV rays and x-rays in the sense that all of them are forms of electromagnetic radiations.
The connection between pulsars and neutron stars is explained by the generally accepted model that pulsars are rapidly rotating neutron stars that emit beams of radiation from their magnetic poles, causing periodic signals to be observed when the beams cross our line of sight. This emission of radiation is what gives rise to the pulsed nature of pulsar signals.
Three ways : Radiation Conduction Convection. The last two require a material connection between the two objects.
X-Rays are electromagnetic waves with a high frequency (lying between UV radiation and gamma radiation on the EM spectrum) and as a result, have a very small wavelength (on the atomic level). Because of this high frequency, they carry high amounts of energy, and have a high penetrating power. X-Rays are ionising, meaning they can cause cancer in humans if exposure is high enough. The two main types are "hard" X-Rays and "soft" X-Rays. The differences are, "ard" X-Rays have a higher frequency, lower wavelength, carry more energy and have a higher penetrating power then "soft" X-Rays. In an X-Ray machine, an aluminium filter is often used to block the "soft" X-Rays, as they are more easily absorbed by the patient and are more dangerous because of this. Resource: HSC Physics course
