It is very uncommon to have teenagers of about the same age, same height, and same weight so that is why we are making Jesse a little older and taller but still the same weight. Miranda and Jesse are the same weight, and about the same mass, so the rope stays level and neither one of the two are pulling each other over to their side.
  • On a scale, with two sides, pair of glasses (0.8 oz.) is put on. Then, on the other side, 4 wet leaves (0.8 oz.) are put on. The scale stays level because the two objects weigh the same.
