∙ 12y agoA force of 5 n applied to an area of 2 m2 is a pressure of 10 Pa (pascal). Increase the force to 10 n, and the pressure increases to 20 Pa. Decrease the area to 1 m2, and the pressure decreases to 5 Pa.
The pascal is the SI unit of pressure equal to one newton of force pressing on one meter squared.

The pressure created with 5.0 N of force applied to an area of 2.0 m² is 2.5 Pa (P = F/A). If the force is increased to 10.0 N, the pressure will double to 5.0 Pa. If the area is decreased to 1.0 m², the pressure will increase to 10.0 Pa with the same 5.0 N force.

Rarefaction and compression are related to sound waves as they describe the regions of low and high pressure, respectively, created by the oscillation of air molecules as sound passes through a medium. In a sound wave, rarefactions are areas of decreased air pressure where air molecules are spread out, while compressions are areas of increased air pressure where air molecules are closer together. The alternation of rarefactions and compressions creates the characteristic waveform of a sound wave.
When the air above an airplane wing moves faster than the air below it, a pressure difference is created. This pressure difference generates lift, as the higher pressure below the wing pushes the aircraft upward. This is known as Bernoulli's principle, where increased air speed above the wing results in decreased pressure and lift.
Areas of decreased pressure created as a sound wave propagates are called rarefactions. These rarefactions are characterized by molecules being spread apart, resulting in lower density and pressure compared to surrounding areas.
The higher pressure part of a sound wave is called the compression phase. It represents the regions of increased air pressure created by the vibration of a sound source.
When force meets force, the pressure generated depends on the amount of force applied and the area over which the force is distributed. Pressure is calculated as force divided by area, so increasing force or decreasing area will result in higher pressure.
I assume you mean 2 m^2. P = F / A = 5.0 / 2.0 = 2.5 Pa. Doublng the force means the double the pressure.
As far as I know this is not true- volume can be increased or decreased. What is conserved in a chemical reaction is mass. Matter is not created or destroyed.
