If you cool down a solid, the solid will loose energy and contract.
In other ways it will get smaller.
The solid may:
1. become a liquid
2. heat up, but remain a solid
3. distort its shape (glass and metals, for instance) but remain a solid
4. vaporize into a gas directly from the solid state
guys I dont actually know this was part of my chemistry hwk so help me- by putting a true and better answer than this!
That depends on the solid some will shrink in size and some will become bigger you should clarify this question.^_^
When you heat a solid it starts to vibrate more and eventually turn into a liquid :)
Hope this helps
For most solids, the length and width will get bigger
Probably nothing, because if you heat up a solid normally it would melt into a smaller solid or even into a liquid. So you could infer that the opposite thing would happen if you cooled down a solid (nothing would happen)
winnowing is the separation of solid-solid separated by size and weight whereas sieving is the separation solid-liquid judged by shape and size.
The amount of time it takes to cool down a house after turning air conditioning on would be dependent upon a number of factors. Some of those factors include the size of the home, insulation and outdoor temperature.
A liquid has a definite size but no definite shape. In contrast, a solid has definite size and shape, and a gas has no definite size or shape.
How much space a room air conditioner can cool is dependent on the size of the unit. You can read the amount on the side of the box if you are not sure.

nothing at all
The slower the rate of cooling the larger the size of the crystals that can develop.
The force will be weaker then it originally was.
wages will go down
It is a solid. :)
Red giant
Because it's very cool and a jaguars size is a pig which is pink and lives down in your whole
well, it depends on the size of the solid and container.

it depends on if it is intrusive or extrusive (intrusive is below the earth and extrusive is at or above the earth) intrusive has a bigger crystal because it takes time to cool down.
This is not something that could possibly happen, so there's little point in attempting to speculate on it. A solid body the size of Antares would, however, collapse into a black hole from its own mass.
