I guess it has to do with how the earth's size is so huge and its gravity so overwhelming that we just can't notice any "pull" from other objects like boulders, buildings, etc.

I have a related question. If you hang a Bowling ball from a string there is zero gravity pulling sideways, right? Only down, but not sideways. So if you hang another bowling ball right next to the first one, both of them suspended by parallel strings, why won't they attract each other and touch each other if you bring them close enough together? But it seems that you can bring them a fraction of an inch away and they will not pull each other together to close that tiny distance and touch. Why not? They are both massive objects.

Maybe they are not massive enough. The same experiment could be done with large spheres made of lead. A solid lead ball a foot in diameter would probably weigh over 100 pounds (just a guess). If you hang two such balls from steel cables, inside a building with no wind to disturb them, do you think you could see them attract each other if you brought them close enough?

They say that if the Earth were the size of a bowling ball, then the moon would be the size of a tennis ball, and it would be 20 feet away. So why is it that if you have a solid rock sphere the size of a bowling ball and another the size of a tennis ball, you can't feel any gravitational attraction between them at 20 feet, or 1 foot, or even 1 inch, or even a tiny fraction of an inch. Or is there an attraction there, just too small to move any object, even one hanging on a string?

Which is not an example of gravity?

Nothing, gravity affects everything in the universe every yocto-second. You cant come up with a non example. Even anti-gravity is an example of gravity since your just reversing the pull of gravity to a push.

Can you please explain Gravity?

Gravity is the force by which a planet or other body draws objects toward its center. The strength of gravity depends on the mass of the objects and the distance between them. It is responsible for keeping planets in orbit around the sun and objects on Earth from floating off into space.

Why cant you feel the force of gravity between you and a book?

The strength of the force of gravity between any two objects depends on both of theirmasses, and on the distance between them.If you weigh, let's say, 220 pounds, and the book weighs, let's say, 2.2 pounds, andthe book is 1 meter (about 3 feet) from the center of you, then the gravitational forcebetween you and the book is( 6.67 x 10-11) x (100) x (1) = 6.67 x 10-9 Newton = about 0.000000024 ounce. That's why.

Why you cant feel the pull of gravity between yourself and another person?

You can't feel the pull of gravity between yourself and another person because the force of gravity between two people is very weak compared to other forces acting on you, like friction and air resistance. Additionally, your body is designed to withstand and adjust to the constant force of gravity, so it's not perceived in the same way as other forces.

Why cant you pull objects with sound?

Sound waves do not contain physical force or energy to exert a pulling effect on objects. Sound waves are vibrations that travel through a medium, like air, but they do not possess the necessary properties to physically move objects through pulling.

Why cant you live without forces?

Without the force of gravity we wouldn't even be here.

How can you move objects in Counter-Strike 1.6?

You cant. You can shoot some of them and make them fly but you cant pick them up and move them around you are thinking of Halflife game where it has gravity gun or maybe a Garrys mod same thing that game has gravity gun too.

Why cant you use weight to calculate an objects force?

It isn't clear what force you are talking about. Depending on what force you mean, it may, or may not, be related to the object's weight. Please note that the weight itself is also a force.

Does nebula or gravity give off their own light?

Does gravity gve off its own light? What a stupid question, gravity is a force, you cant even see it. Nebulas are clouds of gas, but newly formed stars within them can give off light. Remember, everything you can see is giving off light.

Why cant you see objects moving toward each other?

The mass of the most objects is too small to cause a force large enough to notice. This is why you don't see the objects moving toward each other.
