You do not need a gravitational wave detector. You can do nothing with it. You can not do anything with it that we know about at present. You can do nothing with any basic scientific research! No one could do anything with Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity when he developed it. No one could do anything with it the basic research done about it. It was worthless. Today you can use a copy machine. You can watch satellite TV. You can use a GPS. A gravitational wave detector is just one more worthless experiment concerned with the Theory of Relativity.

Light demonstrates wave characteristics when it is?

Light demonstrates wave characteristics when it undergoes interference, diffraction, and polarization. These behaviors can be explained by the wave nature of light, where it exhibits properties such as superposition, bending around obstacles, and oscillations that are perpendicular to its direction of propagation.

What is another name for for a P wave?

In seismology, a P-wave is a primary wave, or sometimes a pressure wave. In general, the primary wave is the fastest moving seismic wave, as it is the first to reach any detector (seismometer) set up to sense them. Use the link below for more information.

What is a long large wave caused by the gravitational pull of the moon and sun?

A long large wave caused by the gravitational pull of the moon and sun is called a tidal wave or a tidal surge. These waves occur due to the gravitational forces of the celestial bodies acting on the Earth's oceans, causing the water levels to rise and fall in a regular pattern.

Do I need a battery smoke detector as a backup?

If your home smoke detector is tied into your electricity and is equipped with a battery backup you should not need an additional smoke detector. You should insure that the batteries are charged and that the smoke detector is functioning properly at least once a month if not more often.
