2004 Chevy express van, heater has no high speed, at one time the blower stayed on even when the ignoton was turned off therefor draining the battery,
You can increase fan speed by adjusting the settings in your device's system preferences or by using third-party software. Be cautious not to set the fan speed too high, as it can impact the lifespan of the fan and potentially create more noise.
It could be due to a faulty resistor in the blower motor circuit. The resistor regulates the speed of the blower motor, and if it malfunctions, the high speed setting may not work properly. It would be best to have a mechanic inspect and replace the resistor if necessary.
The blower motor resistor module is ruined and need replacement. It can be found from below and behind the glove box. Tt may be hard to see, follow the wires to connection that is mounted to the blower unit by two small hex-head screws. I removed the glove box so I could access it easier than trying to go from the bottom in a confined position.
The fan speed for cooling in a central air system is typically set to high speed to help distribute cool air throughout the home efficiently. This helps to reach a desired temperature more quickly and effectively.
A whole house fan that only works on one speed may have a faulty motor or a damaged speed control switch. It could also be a problem with the wiring or the fan's internal components. It would be best to have a professional electrician or HVAC technician inspect and repair the fan to ensure it operates correctly and safely.
try replacing the blower motor resistor
Check the low speed relay and the resistor at the motor
do you mean the speed of the fan? if so, it'a relay generaly near the motor of the fan. If it's the heat who only came at high speed, you need to add some antifreeze.
If you mean the fan - replace the fan speed resistor if the fan only works on high speed. Please supply more information - no heat or cooling? Does fan work? Does mode switch work?
Switch problem? Cables disconnected?
Yes there is, but it only operates the high speed function.
The blower motor resistor pack is bad.
It is the resistor, replace it.
I believe you have a relay that runs the high speed for the heater fan motor. The relay should be located in the power distribution box under the hood.
If its the fan speed your talking about its likely that the speed controller on the fan is broken and had its days
now when you say replaced heater fan multi speed are talking the fan or the switch because ther is a fan speed resitor that can go bad and fan only works on high speed which can cause conector to get very hot and cause insolation on the wires to melt and cause a short in the harness making fan run constantly.
Odds are you need a fan switch, It is very common for the high on GM fan switches to go out.
