Heat is far from useless energy. Without this energy force you would die. Furthermore, without the heat internal combustion motors would never work. No Heat=Pluto.

Heat is not listed as a "form" of energy. Heat is the transfer of energy from a warmer body or region to a cooler one. As for internal combustion engines heat is a by product when they r turning chemical energy into kinetic energy. Also car engines are about 25% efficient when you look at output energy over input energy. You lose 75% to friction, sound, heat, etc..

What is useless energy called?

Useless energy is known as waste energy or wasted energy. It refers to energy that is not utilized efficiently and is lost in various processes, such as heat escaping from a system or friction in mechanical systems.

What examples shows heat energy that is useless?

One example of useless heat energy is the heat released by electronic devices such as smartphones and laptops, which is often wasted into the environment instead of being harnessed for useful purposes. Another example is the heat generated by inefficient combustion processes in vehicles, where a significant portion of the energy is lost as waste heat.

Which sequence of energy transformations occurs after a battery-operated flashlight is turned on?

Chemical energy from the battery gets converted to electricity; in the light-bulb, assuming the old-fashioned incandescent light-bulbs, the electricity gets converted to heat, and the heat gets converted to light (part of it; a significant part gets converted to useless heat).Chemical energy from the battery gets converted to electricity; in the light-bulb, assuming the old-fashioned incandescent light-bulbs, the electricity gets converted to heat, and the heat gets converted to light (part of it; a significant part gets converted to useless heat).Chemical energy from the battery gets converted to electricity; in the light-bulb, assuming the old-fashioned incandescent light-bulbs, the electricity gets converted to heat, and the heat gets converted to light (part of it; a significant part gets converted to useless heat).Chemical energy from the battery gets converted to electricity; in the light-bulb, assuming the old-fashioned incandescent light-bulbs, the electricity gets converted to heat, and the heat gets converted to light (part of it; a significant part gets converted to useless heat).

How much energy is wasted for every 1000 megajoule?

It depends on the efficiency of the appliance. If an electric motor has an efficiency of 0.7, then for every 1000 megajoules, 30 megajoules will be wasted as useless heat or sound or other useless energy form.

Friction doesn't convert energy if actually destroys it true or false?

True. Friction converts mechanical energy into thermal energy, causing a loss of energy in the form of heat. It does not actually destroy energy, but it makes the system less efficient by dissipating energy in the form of heat.

Why doesn't the principle of mechanical energy conservation hold in situations when frictional forces are present?

In the case of friction, energy is wasted, i.e., mechanical energy is converted into useless energy, mainly heat.

Is Potassium Salt a source of non-conventional energy?

Potassium is a chemical element with symbol K (from Neo-Latin kalium) and atomic number 19. Elemental potassium is a soft silvery-white alkali metal that oxidizes rapidly in air and is very reactive with water, generating sufficient heat to ignite the hydrogen emitted in the reaction. since the potassium will be converted into a useless form of energy which is the heat energy that will be released to the surroundings and will become a oneceaagain as what i have said a useless form of energy.

A condition in which the heat is uncoordinated and useless as a pump?

Fibrillation

How can energy be lost from a food web?

Total energy is always constant; however, on the other hand, it is possible to convert useful energy into useless energy. This is an irreversible process, so for all practical purposes, this energy is "lost". It still exists as some type of energy (usually heat), but it can no longer be used.

Electric bulb gets very hot as compared to energy saver.why is it so?

A normal lightbulb wastes a lot of energy. What this really means is that electrical energy gets converted to heat. For most purposes, this can be considered useless energy - although in a few applications, this is actually desired.

What does it mean to use up energy?

Using up energy is basically converting energy from its original form to such a form in which it becomes useless or it is converted to less usable form. FOR EXAMPLE - When you use electricity to light a bulb. electrical energy is converted to heat energy which is in turn converted to light energy. Now you cannot get back heat energy from that light and hence you cannot get back electrical energy. So here electrical energy is converted to such a form in which is cannot be used further. It is said to be used
