The work of Albert Einstein was important because he changed many of the fundamentals of physics that were generally accepted at the time. He gave us the principles (or maybe theories) of General and Special Relativity. And thus, he changed the understanding of the relationship of time, matter, energy, gravity, and the constant nature of the speed of light.

Much of what was postulated in these principles were contrary to what was understood at the time, and paved the way to a deeper understanding of physics and quantum mechanics. And these principles are the basis of our current understanding of quantum mechanics and cosmology. I believe he introduced the idea of black holes (but I am not certain).

I am not a physicist and barely passed 12th grade physics, so I only know a bit of what I am talking about, and certainly don't understand the principles that I mentioned. So, I am certain this answer can be improved. But I think I am mostly right in very broad terms.

Also, my recollection is that Albert Einstein didn't do especially well in school or in life before his scientific endeavours. So maybe he taught us that formal education or immediate success isn't always everything, and that people are capable of remarkable feats once they find their passion!

What color was Albert Einstein's door?

Albert Einstein's door was red. There is a reason for this. Einstein would have so many things going on in his head that he would forget where his house is. So they painted his door red. That is what color his door is.
