Why did dimitri become a strigoi?
Dimitri did not turn Strigoi by choice, him and some other of the school's guardians were in a battle with Strigoi to rescue some students from the academy they kidnapped when he was caught and turned Strigoi against his will. Rose wanted to go back to rescue him, but she would just die too if she did. Hope I helped.
Is Dimitri from Vampire Academy really a Strigoi?
Yes Dimitri is made into a strigoi in the 3rd or 4th book. In the 5th book Rose finds a way to turn him back but it involves Lissa using spirit and learning to fight, which Rose isn't happy about at all. Dimitri is eventually turned back without bonding to Lissa like Rose. He doesn't quite act the same though.

How did Dimitri become strigoi?
Dimitri has turned strigoi due to the attack in the cave where Janine, Rose, other guardians including Dimitri himself were fighting. It happened to be when Rose and the others had finished off killing the strigoi when suddenly another strigoi jumps out and takes out Dimitri by surprise but no one could help because the sun was about to set which meant more strigoi were going to come. Rose who was trying to save him couldn't reach in time and was told by her mother that he was dead because everyone saw the blond strigoi bite him. Dimitri was to be dead or taken away with the strigoi because in the morning all the guardians go searching for bodies only to come back with lots of injured and dead bodies that belonged to other guardians who were along side Rose and Dimitri. Rose finds out for sure what happened to Dimitri when she runs out the wards to meet her long dead friend, Mason who is there in the form of a spirit. He tells Rose that Dimitri is no longer alive nor dead but a strigoi.
What happens in the third book of Vampire Academy?
3rd: Shadow-Kissed Rose and her friends are back at the academy, and Rose keeps getting visits from Mason's ghost/spirit. Later the school is attacked by a Strigoi war, and Dimitri gets turned into Strigoi. Oh, and right before the Strigoi war Dimitri and Rose have sex. :P (Kind of sucks, huh? :P )

She does die but is brought back to life by Lissa's spirit healing powers. This is what made her 'Shadow Kissed'. This only reflected on in the books though, the actual scene is not written. Rose dies twice in the series. The first time was when Lissa brought her back using spirit. and the second time was when Lissa was running for Queen at the courtroom. Tasha Ozera intended to kill Lissa with a gun, but instead Rose jumped in front of the bullet and rose from the dead on her own.

This book is just as perfect as Richelle's other books. In Frostbite we have 2 new characters: First is Adrian; who is a spirit user and is interested in Rose .Second is Tasha Ozera who loves Dimitri. In the event of the books, Moroi get killed by Strigoi attacks. So Mason, one of the novices, naively believing he and his friends can kill Strigoi took off on their own to hunt strigoi only to be captured by them. In the end Mason gets killed by a Strigoi and Rose (Who has followed her friends to rescue them) kill the mentioned strigoi and his companion. After the horror part comes the reunion where Rose and Dimitri kinda come together again, but not as in that together and now Rose is a new Rose with two molnija tattoos. Ah Ah Ah!!!! Shadow kissed was the best one ohlala. that is where Dimika and Roze get together like together together as in bodys pressed against another. Spirit bound is also very similar but it is with Adrian.
How does rose react when she finds dimitri?
He goes to Russia and Rose follows him so she can kill him. He finds Rose and kidnaps her. He tries to convince Rose to become Strigoi as well and keeps her weak by taking her blood but eventually she stabs him (Not with a stake, so not fataly) and escapes. He follows her and they end up fighting on a bridge, she stakes him and he falls off the edge. Thinking she's killed him Rose returns to America but receives her stake along witha note from Dimitri in the mail after she returns to the academy. Hope that helps.

yes twice. Once in spirit Bound when Dimitri's a strigoi and he's trying to kill Rose and then Eddie goes to kill him and Rose pushes Dimitri out of the way. She thinks they re might be a way to save him and return him to his Dampir form. And the second time is in last sacrifice when Dimitri goes in for one strigoi and the other come at him Rose has his back though
