Amongst them, karela is reported to be extremely beneficial according to my knowledge it does not have no sugar. very good for people with high blood pressure.

If i am correct there are 2 types of Indian vegetable that sound like this but unfortunately i only know what they are called in gujerati and not English. The first is Kantola and the second is Karela. Both are somewhat bitter in taste but fantastic as a curry!
Karela
The English term for karlang vegetable is bitter melon or bitter gourd.

Wintermelon looks the same as this vegetable.
The Rangoli called in Kerala is kolam.
Pana or panapen is not a vegetable, it's a fruit, but that is another question. In English it is called Breadfruit.
