because they get frail from the weather and fall
Trees that lose their leaves annually are called deciduous trees.
Trees may loose their leaves during periods of drought, as a result of herbivorous attacks or, in temperate climates, they may lose them in the autumn season.
All deciduous trees lose their leaves in winter for various reasons not just frozen winters.
All trees loose their leaves. Some do so a little at a time and are called "evergreen trees." Other trees loose their leaves all at once, usually in the autumn,, so the loss is very noticeable. These are called deciduous trees.
Trees that loose their leaves in the autumn, are called Deciduous trees. (Non-evergreen trees)Some examples of Deciduous trees are..:Tower PoplarGreen AshSugar MapleRed MapleBur OakBlack WalnutEuropean White BirchHope I could help,SSV~
It is its deciduous :)
If as I think they are the Buckeye is the chestnut then you have a problem chestnuts drop their leaves in the Autumn.
They are called coniferous trees. Deciduous trees lose their leaves in autumn. Coniferous trees KEEP their leaves in autumn.
the evergreen tree does not loose its leaves during the fall, it has green leaves all year round.
Maple trees do,From what I looked at Oak trees do not... Both maple and oak are deciduous so the both drop their leaves in Autumn. There is an exceptin the evergreen oak Quercus Ilex .
Generally speaking trees can be grouped into three categories:Deciduous (those which loose their leaves annualy. These are mostly the hardwoods: Oak, Beech, Hornbeam, Walnut etc.)Semi-Evergreen (Those which retain their leaves for a large portion of the winter)Evergreen (Those which keep their leaves for life. these are mostly the softwoods: Pine, Sequoia, Cypress, Cedar etc.)There are many variations to this theme including some hardwood trees which are evergreen such as the Holm Oak (Quercus ilex) and some softwoods which are deciduous such as the Dawn Redwood (Metasequoia glyptostroboides). Semi-Evergreen trees are a bit of a misnoma as they are in fact deciduous but given the right conditions will retain their leaves for most or all of the year.
