Daffodil bulbs should be planted in the fall months before the ground freezes. Why autumn when it's a spring flower?
Daffodils are not animals, they are in the plant kingdom
Gladiolus bulbs should be planted in the spring, after the last frost, to ensure successful blooming. Planting them too late in the season may result in a lack of blooms.
Late fall is when it is too late to plant sod in Salt Lake City, Utah. You can plant sod up until the soil temperature is down to 32 degrees. This allows you to plant throughout October.
When planting a daffodil bulb, you have to find a site with full sun or part shade with somewhat fertile and well-drained soil. Plant the bulbs in the fall about 3-6 inches apart. Bear in mind that they will soon be crowding each other. Generally planting is done in the fall, but late winter is OK, too, as long as the ground is not frozen. The bulbs need to be 2 times as deep as the bulb is high. A 2-inch long bulb should be planted 4-inches deep. If the winters are severe, 3-inches of soil above the bulb tip is recommended. In clay soils, don't plant as deeply as in sandy soil. If planted too deeply, the bulb will produce long stems and few flowers.
There are a few reasons a daffodil might not bloom. The clump has not been divided in a while, and there is not enough space/nutrients for a full bloom. The clump was divided when the flowers were blooming, so that the bulbs did not store enough energy for the next year's blooms. These plants grew from seed and are not yet old enough to bloom (it takes 5-7 years for a daffodil grown from seed to produce a flower). The plant is too shaded. To bloom the plant needs to be in full sun or partial shade.
July is too late to plant unless you are planting parenials, if you are planting anuals plant late may or June
Not enough information. Where do you live?
No because you can plant strawberries anytime. Only if the plants are pot grown.
If you do, the chances are that it will grow into a bigger plant and actually produce more bulbs. If it flowers, then you may get seeds too that eventually will/can produce more onions.
nope that means your too late. the buds are what you cut, not the flowers
June may be a bit late to plant canna bulbs, as they typically prefer to be planted in the spring after the last frost. However, you can still try planting them as long as you provide them with adequate sunlight, water, and nutrients to help them establish before the growing season ends. Keep in mind that they may bloom later than usual if planted in June.
