Juan owns the cafe/filling station next To the outdoor site for Sunday Mass. Homer buys breakfast from him while the nuns attend Mass. Juan tells Homer the nuns' history, including how they crossed the Berlin Wall and came to America to live on this piece of land which was willed to them. He informs Homer that the nuns live off the land because they have no money. Juan does not consider himself a believer but helps with building the chapel, as insurance...just in case the believers are right.
