Becuase leaves and animal poo is biodegradable, which means it can be dissolved easily (unlike stuff like plastic and metal), and it is also very good for the plants because it isn't artificial like fertilizer u can buy in shops - it's organic.

Explain why farmers regularly add nitrate fertilizers to their field?

It's not entirely true to say, "...regularly add nitrate fertilizers..." since farmers in the US generally select the kind of fertilizers to use based on the nutrient needs of the crop, timing of application, and price of the fertilizer material. Nitrate fertilizers are one form they can use to get nitrogen, possibly the single most important nutrient, to their crops. However, nitrates are not always the most appropriate form to use, and so they also use ammonium types such as urea or anhydrous ammonia.

Why do farmers use manure on their fields?

Farmers use manure on their fields because it is a natural fertilizer that enriches the soil with essential nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. It also helps improve soil structure, retain moisture, and promote healthier plant growth. Additionally, using manure can reduce the need for synthetic fertilizers and minimize waste through recycling organic matter back into the soil.
