He brought Grendel's arm back.
Grendel and his mother are both killed by Beowulf in the epic poem "Beowulf." Grendel is killed by Beowulf in Heorot Hall, and later Beowulf ventures to the underwater lair to defeat Grendel's vengeful mother.
After Beowulf slays Grendel's mother he chops off the head of Grendel. He killed Grendel's mother with a magical sword that he used to stab her in the neck.
Beowulf
Grendel gets his arm torn off by Beowulf .
Beowulf killed Grendel and he was a Dane, so yes
Beowulf attacks Grendel, rips his arm off hangs it on the raftors and Grendel walks off and dies in his cave. Later Beowulf finds Grendel's body and cuts his head off.
The favor that Beowulf asks of Hrothgar is to allow Beowulf and his men to be the only ones to fight Grendel. This will allow Beowulf to prove his worthiness as a warrior and a leader.
Beowulf
grendel cannot be killed with swards or anything else he must be killed with bare hands which beowulf could do but his warriors could not so they got frusturated becuase they were hitting their swards on grendel but he was not dieing but when beowulf took his bare hands to grendel he did die.
Grendel is one of three antagonists, along with Grendel's mother and the dragon, in the Anglo-Saxon epic poem Beowulf(AD 700-1000). In the poem, Grendel is feared by all but Beowulf. Beowulf chose to slay Grendel because Grendel was attempting to destroy Heorot, the Danish king's (Hrothgar's) mead hall. The fact that Beowulf and Hrothgar were friends and Grendel was killing and eating the Danish king's subjects played a part in Beowulf's mission. Even worse in the initial attacks between Beowulf and Grendel, Grendel fights back! (Cette bête est mauvaise quand vous l'attaque, il se défend)
there was sword near him,he took it and killed her
No. He is killed, by Beowulf. His mother attacks next.
