Women in Beowulf are often depicted as loyal, supportive figures serving men, such as Wealhtheow and Hildeburh. Their roles are primarily defined by their relationships to the male characters rather than by individual agency or complex characterization. This reflects the societal norms and expectations of the time period in which the poem was written.
Men how are not that bright think they own women, however it is their testorone that nmakes them think that way, but they are wrong.
portrayed e.g this person is portrayed in this way........
Sometimes they may think there in the wright and your not
To show that he wasn't immortal
Well to be honest I think its the other way around :L WOMEN TEACH MEN NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND !!!
They think the way a mother will raise her child, women in leadership positions will uplift the country.
Unferth is allowed to speak to Beowulf that way because he is questioning Beowulf's accomplishments and challenging his reputation as a great warrior. His remarks are meant to test Beowulf's confidence and to assert his own position in front of their peers. It is a way for Unferth to establish his own presence and to potentially discredit Beowulf.
Unferth challenges Beowulf's reputation by bringing up an incident where Beowulf lost a swimming match to Breca. Unferth questions Beowulf's bravery and boasts about his own abilities, trying to diminish Beowulf's accomplishments. Beowulf responds by defending his honor and recounting his past victories in battle.
Some women think that their hair can be annoying, and just get in the way, so they cut it off. Others think the short style is cute, and just a easy way to wear your hair.
Beowulf was written long before the Danes were Christians and does not reflect Christian values in any way shape or form.
That's easy. Men think logically. But I don't think women will ever understand.
They are portrayed as sexy and provocative young people. The boys sometimes are dressed without a shirt on, and the girls are trying to look sexy with short shorts and other provocative clothing articles. They are portayed much older than they should be. I do not agree with the way they are portrayed. :)
