Grendel is suggesting that everything in the world exists except for the love and presence of his mother, who he seems to hold in high regard. This indicates that despite the chaos and darkness in his life, the absence of his mother is what truly leaves a void in his existence.
Grendel is not part of Greek mythology, but rather the Epic of Beowulf.

Beowulf chooses to fight Grendel unarmed to prove his strength and courage. He believes that relying on his own abilities rather than weapons will demonstrate his prowess as a warrior. Additionally, Beowulf sees it as a way to fight Grendel on more equal terms, as Grendel does not use weapons either.
In the original Beowulf poem, there is no mention of Grendel having the ability to read minds. Grendel is described as a monster who terrorizes the Danes in Heorot. His main strength lies in his physical prowess rather than any supernatural abilities like mind-reading.
How do you know there are things rather than nothing? That's the answer.
It is a matter of opinion regarding whether or not the behavior of Grendel's mother seems as wicked or unreasonable as Grendel's behavior. Grendel's mother was simply avenging the death of her son, so many would argue she wasn't as wicked.
The defeat over Grendel was important to King Hrothgar because it brought peace and safety back to his kingdom. Grendel had been terrorizing the people of Heorot, causing death and destruction, and the defeat allowed Hrothgar to regain control and restore order to his land. It also boosted his reputation and reaffirmed his authority as a strong and capable ruler.
Grendel is not a monster , it is a "tribe" living in pre danish "Denmark" defending their land against danes, invading from the east "sweden", it might have been rather difficult, and the danes was helped by their allied "geates"
Grendel's mother
The implicit information about the main character could be that they have a strong emotional attachment to their mother and are possibly experiencing feelings of loss, desperation, or helplessness when unable to find her. This passage suggests the character's focus on finding their mother and the intense emotions associated with this search.
The poet/author wanted to tell 2 sides of the story. If you read the book, "Grendel" you will understand why he was made into what he is. Since Grendel is a descendant of Cain, the moment he was born, he was in the eyes of other just as evil as Cain. But his mom wanted to protect him from the ugly world outside. Grendel was made like this by those humans who pushed him. So that can show no one was born evil and can refer to situations in today's world.
